In reality, and regretfully, there will always be a need for child protection services in Ontario, just as we need police and court services. But, those within the ranks of those organizations have to be accountable for their actions.
Children's Aid Societies (CAS) are self-auditing. They are accountable to themselves. This is a breakdown in their system. Every single day, father's and men's rights groups receive phone calls and emails complaining about mistreatment by CAS. Some of it bordering on what often appears to be somewhat dubious activity
One of Ottawa Fathers mission goals will be to record and report on the biased activities of CAS against fathers in an effort to bring media and political attention to focus on that organization. In this way it is hoped CAS members will act with due diligence and fairness when dealing with fathers.
